The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has signed an Interim Trail Use Agreement with Missouri Central Railroad Company, a subsidiary of Ameren Missouri, paving the way for the railbanking of 144 miles of the former Rock Island railroad corridor.
Missouri State Parks has until December 31, 2019, to work out an agreement with Ameren’s Missouri Central Railroad to manage the Rock Island Trail.
