Sunset Heats Track & Field Meet
September 27 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Run it Back., the city’s only adult-centered track and field club, is hosting its final community track meet of the season on Saturday, September 27th at 6:00 PM at Saint Louis University Medical Center Stadium. The event invites adults of all athletic levels to come out and race, jump, and throw in a fun, welcoming environment that blends competition, community, and culture.
Created for former athletes, community members, and folks who just miss the track, Run it Back. is reimagining what it means to move at any age or skill level. The September 27th meet will feature:
- Electronic timing for all races
- Prizes and giveaways for top finishers
- An athlete recovery truck
- A live DJ spinning under the stadium lights
- Made-to-order tacos from Up Late
From the founder, Anastasia Harris, a Black woman and St. Louis native: “I created Run it Back. for people to experience the special energy that only a track can bring. Once you graduate from high school or college there are few, if any, free opportunities to train and compete with other adults who love track and field, but we’re changing that! Having the opportunity to do something I love is special, but when other folks join in it becomes so much sweeter.”
Spectators are welcome, and the event is free to attend. Registration is open now at joinrunitback.com. Media are encouraged to attend, capture content, and speak with participants and organizers.
