Maybe you’ve heard the phrase, “The Internet can’t fix your bike.” Well, that’s true. But a new option available in St. Louis provides a handy alternative for those who want professional service but don’t have the time or inclination to visit a brick-and-mortar store.

VeloFix, a mobile bike maintenance and repair service with 30 franchises in North America, allows you to book a reservation online and have its “rolling bike shop” come to you. “The bike industry is evolving,” said VeloFix St. Louis franchisee Francesca DeRanzo, citing online bike sales as one recent trend. “We have to evolve with it.”

A bike shop veteran who had to achieve strict Barnett Bicycle Institute certification in order to join the VeloFix team, DeRanzo can not only perform regular service and tune-ups, but also complete overhauls, bike fittings, special requests and custom jobs. “It’s now possible for you to have a custom bike delivered to your home and built professionally by us,” she said.

Each VeloFix van is equipped with the tools and parts needed to perform common maintenance and repairs on all kinds of bikes, and any special equipment can be ordered and delivered, oftentimes overnight. “We work will all major vendors,” DeRanzo said. Customers can even look forward to a pick-me-up from the van’s onboard coffee machine.

“At the end of the day, we want more people on bikes,” said DeRanzo. “We want to offer great customer service and be as inclusive and efficient as possible.” Learn more at velofix.com/locations/st-louis/.
