The new Shepherds Mountain Bike Park in Ironton, Missouri, broke ground in early June, with the first phase scheduled to be complete in Spring 2021.
The City of Ironton has broken ground on the Shepherd Mountain Bike Park trails and will have a groundbreaking ceremony at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 12 at the base of Shepherd Mountain on Highway 221 in Ironton, Missouri.
Already home to some local favorites — think Chubb Trail and Greensfelder County Park in nearby Wildwood — this winter alone the city invested close to $100,000 dollars in a new mountain bike skills park: the Eureka Mountain Bike Park (EMBP), set to open this spring.
