The St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department has been chosen to host the area’s first Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships Qualifier. The event will be held from 12 to 10 p.m., Saturday, July 31, at the newly renamed Kinetic Park (formerly Youth Activity Park) in  Dardenne Prairie. This premiere pump track competition is one of four 2021 qualifying races scheduled in the United States, and the only one of its kind in Missouri.

The timed Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships Qualifier is open to 200 racing competitors: 100 men and 100 women. In separate runs, riders will race against the clock on the largest asphalt pump track in the nation at Kinetic Park. This distinguished series has pitted BMX against MTB for the first time on an equal platform, and the spirit of competition and exclusivity has gained recognition around the globe. The top four men and women from this qualifier will advance to the Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships held in Europe later this year. The top male finisher and top female finisher will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the World event and compete for the championship title.

A limited number of park-goers will have the opportunity to watch all the excitement unfold in the park. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, giveaways, concessions, and displays from sporting vendors and organizations.

The cost to compete in the race is $20. Participants may ride either a BMX or MTB. A minimum wheel size of 20 inches is required.
