Big Cedar Lodge, the “Favorite Outdoor Resort” of Terrain Magazine readers, is adding “an entirely new dimension” with the opening of Camp Long Creek in May 2019. The 64-unit campground on Table Rock Lake will provide lodging for those who want the magic of sleeping outdoors but the luxury of staying indoors, with options ranging from glamping tents to shepherd’s huts to rustic cottages for couple and families.

The new campground will be located just minutes from Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, Missouri, and adjacent to Bass Pro Shops Long Creek Marina. On-site amenities will include an outdoor pool, beach access, boat rental, fishing and hiking, and other special touches — including s’mores kits for guests upon arrival.

“Our goal is to create a special place that invites everyone to disconnect from life’s stresses and connect with each other and the outdoors,” said Bass Pro Shops and Big Cedar Lodge founder Johnny Morris.

Glamping tents will feature a king canopy bed, kitchen with wood-burning stove and stone terrace with a fire pit, outdoor shower and galvanized tub. Those staying in a shepherd’s hut can expect a queen bed, dining area and kitchen with small refrigerator, microwave and electric cooktop. Cottages will have a king bed, living area with queen sleeper sofa, and kitchen with appliances. All are outfitted with contemporary rustic décor as well as a private bathroom and shower. bigcedar.com
