The Cowboy Shuffle is a fun run that kicks off rodeo week in Sikeston.  The route begins at the Sikeston Kindergarten Center (1310 E. Salcedo Rd.) and ends in Historic Downtown Sikeston by the new Rodeo Museum.  There is a rodeo parade following the run, and Mutton Busting Competition for kids.

Each participant will receive a Sikeston Rodeo goody bag at check-in. Runners are encouraged to incorporate rodeo accessories in their attire. Example: bandanas or bull horn headbands. Be as festive as you like! This race is dog friendly. Please have your pet leashed and feel free to dress them in rodeo accessories as well!

Who: All ages are welcome to run, walk, or do the cowboy shuffle across the finish line!

When: August 1, 2026

Check in from 9:00 am – 9:30 am

Run begins 9:55 am

Where: Check-in is at the Sikeston Kindergarten Center, 1310 E. Salcedo Rd, Sikeston, MO 63801

Cost: $25 early registration.

*Please bring registration fee to the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo ticket office no later than July 31, 2026, to take advantage of early registration pricing.
