A new paddling route connecting Riverside Landing in St. Charles County and 370 Lakeside Park in St. Peters would create “blue way” of 3.5 miles. The St. Charles County Council and the St. Peters Board of Aldermen have both approved a cooperative agreement to prepare Dardenne Creek Drainage District No. 3 to facilitate the route. The creek is currently blocked with felled trees and other debris.

“This [blue way] will provide residents and visitors the opportunity to float on Dardenne Creek to Riverside Landing,” said St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann. “And, we are looking at ways to connect to the Boschert Greenway and trails in the City of St. Charles. This will be a great park for those who want to explore the outdoors by boat, bike or foot.”
