Help bring high school mountain biking to the Show Me State at the Ride for Missouri Interscholastic Mountain Biking event on Sunday, May 20. Ticket proceeds will go to support the bid to establish a National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) league in Missouri. (See our January/February issue for a full report.)

The Ride for MoMTB will feature mountain bike shuttles on Bluff View Trail and to/from Greer Brewing Co. in Ellisville, Missouri, home base for the event. Tickets are $50 and will include a food/beer voucher, T-shirt (limited to the first 50 registrants) and free raffle for items such as mountain biking camps/clinics from local instructors, a Sherpa bike rack donated by Kuat, gift cards from Ballwin Cycles and Trailhead Bicycles, and tons of other swag.

Live music and a vendor village will create a festival-style atmosphere at Greer Brewing, with riders coming and going throughout the day and hanging out on the new outdoor seating and overflow area behind the brewery.

“The time is now for communities to come together and bring middle and high school mountain biking to Missouri,” said Chris Mileski, who is leading the effort to bring a NICA league to Missouri. “All kids should have the opportunity to build strong body, mind and character through interscholastic cycling. Come out to Greer, have some fun and learn how you can ‘Be Part of the Start.’”

Sponsors of Ride for MoMTB include Guided Path Adventures, Greer Brewing Co., Off the Front Racing, Chris Mileski Coaching and Terrain Magazine. Registration is now open at BikeReg.
