A new race from Terrain Trail Runners and the City of Wildwood, the Wildwood Trail Marathon will be a great wrap-up to the racing season — and the first timed race held on the completed Zombie Trail, 11 miles of gorgeous single-track following the serpentine ridgeline on both sides of paved Rock Hollow Trail.

Scheduled for December 3, the race will consist of 4 miles of the asphalt and 22 miles of natural and chat surface on the Hamilton-Carr Greenway and the Al Foster, Bluff View, Zombie, Stinging Nettle and Cedar Bluff trails. Overall elevation gain is approximately 1,500 feet. The race will start and finish at LaSalle Springs Middle School in Wildwood.

“We hope this race will present runners with a new and exciting challenge and become a premier event on the endurance circuit and a destination race for the City of Wildwood, Missouri, which was recently named one of the Best Trail Towns in the United States,” said race director and founder of Terrain Trail Runners, Shalini Kovach. “Participants can look forward to conquering some of the most pristine and scenic trails that western St. Louis County has to offer.”
