The country’s second ultra-accessible amusement park is due to break ground in 2023 in Wentzville, Missouri. Spirt of Discovery Park will “offer inclusion to all individuals with or without special needs, regardless of age, ability, or mental acumen; a place where every feature has been designed and crafted in a way that enables them to be enjoyed by everybody in the park.”

The 60-acre park will include rides, a dog park, sensory areas, a greenhouse, playground, arcade, splash pads, and more. Spirt of Discovery Park is a nonprofit organization and will be built with private funding, meaning no tax dollars will be used. The public facility will be free to enter, further removing barriers for all guests.
