Two dry thumbs up for this waterproof rain jacket that won’t make you feel like you’re baking in an oven. Sealed seams and excellent wind and storm protection are counterbalanced by a built-in back vent and mesh lining to help regulate your temperature. The straight fit provides a good range of motion, or cinch down with the adjustable drawcord hem. Weighing in at 14.5 ounces, the women’s jacket (14.9 in men’s) isn’t the lightest choice when packability counts, but you can’t beat the price and high-quality construction. Speaking of which, the Swift Parley 2-Layer is made with Parley fabric consisting of 95 percent ocean plastic and 5 percent recycled polyester. That’s good karma no matter where and when you use it. $139.
