Pedal the Cause announced that registration for its 2026 bike challenge will officially open on April 1, inviting riders, spinners, volunteers, kids, donors, and fundraisers of all ages to join the local movement to end cancer.
Returning for its seventeenth year, Pedal the Cause will take place September 19-20, 2026, at the Family Arena in St. Charles. Participants from across the region will come together for a high-energy weekend of cycling, community, and fun, united by a shared commitment to accelerate cancer research and in turn, create global impact.
“Each year, our community shows what’s possible when people come together with purpose,” said David Drier, executive director of Pedal the Cause. “Registration opening is more than a milestone — it’s the starting line for thousands of individuals who are ready to take action, fund critical research, and bring hope to patients and families facing cancer. I invite everyone to please join us to fund some of the best cancer research in the nation.”
In celebration of Pedal the Cause’s 17th year, Early Bird Registration will run from April 1-17, offering participants the lowest price of the season at $100 — that’s $75 off standard registration rates. Early registrants will also gain access to fundraising tools, team-building resources, and training opportunities.
Pedal the Cause welcomes riders of all skill levels, with six course options ranging from 10 to 100 miles, as well as spin sessions, virtual fundraising opportunities, a Kids Challenge, and volunteer roles — ensuring everyone can take part in a way that’s meaningful to them.
Since its founding in 2010, Pedal the Cause has raised more than $56 million, with 100% of participant-raised funds directly supporting cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. These funds have launched hundreds of innovative research projects, clinical trials, and new treatment approaches that would not otherwise have received funding.
