Organizers of the Moonlight Ramble bike ride are excited to announce that the race will return to downtown St. Louis this summer on Saturday, August 17, for its 55th edition. The Moonlight Ramble is the longest running nighttime bike ride in the U.S. and a great source of pride for St. Louis. The ride that began with one rider has grown into an annual tradition with thousands of riders taking to the streets of St. Louis at night under the light of the moon.

In partnership with Hubbard Radio and KSHE 95, St. Louis-based Big River Race Management is taking over race operations moving forward.

“Hubbard Radio was committed to finding a capable partner that could continue this signature St. Louis event for years to come, with a priority of keeping the event downtown. We are thrilled that Matt Helbig and his team at Big River Race Management will take over this event and ensure its future growth and success,” said Hubbard’s Director of Integrated Marketing and Events, Brad Buehlhorn.

“The Moonlight Ramble is an iconic event for the City of St. Louis, and we are absolutely delighted to continue on its storied tradition,” said Helbig, co-owner of Big River Race Management. “St. Louis has a vibrant and diverse cycling community, and we look forward to bringing that community together for an unforgettable experience on the car-free, moonlit streets of St. Louis. The Moonlight Ramble is a unique, family friendly experience I want to enjoy with my children, and in the future, them with their children.”

Big River is proud to name St. Louis Bicycle Works (BWorks) as this year’s charity partner. “We’re excited to learn that Big River has taken over the reins of the Moonlight Ramble,” said Patrick Van Der Tuin, executive director at BWorks. “And we’re honored that Big River picked BWorks as the charity partner to benefit from this long-standing cycling tradition in the St. Louis region; especially as BWorks is celebrating our 30th anniversary. At BWorks, part of our mission is to inspire youth to explore new possibilities; we do this by working with them through our cycling, computer and book programs. Being involved with Moonlight Ramble is a perfect fit to help us further our goals.”
