In response to the recent tornadoes that struck the St. Louis region, local organizers are hosting the Gateway Resilience Run & Ride on Sunday, June 1, to raise funds for disaster relief.

The event, held at Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory School (701 N. Spring Ave), offers several options for participants: a timed 5K run/walk, a 1-mile family-friendly run/walk, a virtual 5K, and a 15-mile group bike ride.

Runners and walkers can sign up for a time slot between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., while the group ride kicks off at 8:00 a.m.

Registration is $25-$50, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to two local relief efforts: Action St. Louis and the City of St. Louis Tornado Response Fund. All race operations and logistics are being donated to ensure every dollar supports those affected.

Participants will also receive an event T-shirt, and the morning will feature music, snacks, and a strong sense of community. Organizers are partnering with Cardinal Ritter to support the school’s recovery, as it was among the institutions impacted by the storms.

Organizers note that dogs are not allowed at the event.

Whether you walk, run, ride, volunteer, or simply show up to cheer on the participants, the Gateway Resilience Run & Ride is a chance to support neighbors in need and show what community strength looks like in motion.
