El Chupacabra Grondo
May 2, 2021
Whether you are a seasoned gravelleur, training for the Hairy100 or just looking to give this whole gravel fad a try, El Chupacabra Grondo is here for you.
Starting with a neutral rollout from Bur Oak Brewery, this course will take you through the open, rolling Naarth Gravel of Boone, Callaway and Audrain County. After a quick stop in Mexico, MO, you’ll roll back towards CoMO and finish at the classic Froze Toes finish line on I-70 Drive NE. A neutral finish takes you over the interstate and back to Bur Oak Brewery, where you will be greeted by high-fives, a cold brew (21+) and a fiesta.
The ride is completely self-supported; however, we will have a SAG wagon patrolling the course. You will be responsible for knowing and/or navigating the course yourself. Due to the nature of gravel roads in the Spring, there will be very little (if any) course markings. In Mexico, MO (approximately halfway) there will be an aid station with provisions. You are welcome to stop or keep riding.
