Located at 18 Research Park Circle in Weldon Spring, near Interstate 64/U.S. 40 and the Boone Bridge, Missouri Bluffs is a 342-acre property that is now open and continues to be developed for outdoor recreational use. (Two hundred acres of it will continue to be leased to the Missouri Bluffs Golf Course).
The forested parcel presently includes a group camping area for up to 100 people and a shelter with electric and restrooms that is available to reserve for special events. A low ropes course includes 10 obstacles, with names like the Tire Traverse, TP Shuffle, Log Cabin, and Log Swing. The course requires special use authorization from the St. Charles County Parks Department, and all climbers must complete a waiver of liability prior to participation.
The Parks Department is currently working to establish access to the Katy Trail and is coordinating with Gateway Off-Road Cyclists (GORC) to add multi-use trails to the area.
St. Charles County Parks purchased the Missouri Bluffs property from the University of Missouri system in 2019.
