Following an executive order issued by St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger, Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park has grown by 25 acres. The land was previously home to Lakeside Center, the county’s residential youth treatment program, which closed in 2016.

Though no specific plans for the land have been announced yet, the 25 acres adjacent to the south end of the park are already open for public use. “Adding this land to our world-class parks system will allow for more green space, recreational services, programs and activities,” said Stenger.
