Leveraging the cross-river access now offered by the Daniel Boone Bridge bike and pedestrian path, Bike Stop Café of St. Charles has plans to open a new location at Taubman Prestige Outlets in Chesterfield this summer. The second location allows Bike Stop patrons to ride the 18 miles between the two cafes, via the Monarch Levee and Katy trails, with call-ahead shuttle service available to those who want to make a one-way trip.
“Being able to open our second location is an exciting step and demonstrates the strength of the cycling community, as well as the demand for our healthy, flavorful items,” said co-owner Jodi Devonshire.
In business since 2010, Bike Stop Café sources local, organic produce whenever possible for its breakfast and lunch service and also has a coffee bar and curated selection of beer and wine. The business offers on-site bike service and rental, and each year refurbishes and donates bikes to students who participate in the many outdoor programs the shop hosts.
