St. Louis Running Tour has announced the addition of a new route in St. Louis’ iconic neighborhood, the Hill. The tour will be guided by Joe DeGregorio, is a lifelong resident of the Hill and one of the leading historians on the neighborhood.

“The Hill neighborhood of St. Louis has maintained its traditional Italian ambiance and heritage for over 100 years ,” said St. Louis Running Tour Founder Joe Michaelree in a press release. “On any street corner, you are apt to hear ‘Buon Giorno amici.’”

On the new three-mile route, participants will get to run past the homes of hall-of-famers from baseball, soccer and Olympic sport; famous restaurants; a world-renowned sausage/prosciutto manufacturer; and the premier chocolate factory in the region.

“Where else in this country can you run along a street where three members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame lived on the same block,” asked Michaelree.

The running tour also includes a visit inside the famed Italia-America Bocce Club to experience its history, along with a brief lesson on bocce and a chance to play.
