Famous Footwear has again partnered with Ticket to Dream Foundation for the holiday season to ensure foster kids have everyday essentials, shoes, and cheer during this time.

Famous Footwear and Ticket to Dream Foundation are co-hosting five events across the country on Saturday, November 5 to provide more than 300 foster youth the unique opportunity to pick any pair of shoes, pack of socks, and even shop for two of their friends or family. The shopping sprees will be held at Famous Footwear stores in St. Louis; Burleson, Texas; Apple Valley, Minnesota; Detroit, Michigan; and Honolulu, Hawaii.

The St. Louis shopping spree will be held at the Famous Footwear in Dierbergs Brentwood Pointe in Brentwood on November 5. The hope of this event is to make foster youth feel special and, in some cases, provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience of selecting their own new items from an array of great brands that Famous carries.

“Famous Footwear Shopping days are an absolute joy,” said Gina Davis, CEO, Ticket to Dream Foundation. “Many foster youth have never owned a new pair of shoes or had the opportunity to shop for themselves. These events are filled with running feet and smiles, helping to boost self-esteem.”
