Strength Training For Runners Clinic
February 6, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Muscle strength, power and endurance are essential to maintaining optimal running form. When muscle weakness affects running mechanics, injury can (and frequently does) occur. Yet, many runners prefer to prioritize their miles over strengthening.
In this clinic, expert physical therapists from the Washington University Running Clinic will demonstrate key exercises that target specific muscle groups in an effort to optimize strength for running without sacrificing your miles. The strengthening exercises that you will learn and will practice at the clinic can be performed anywhere to help you prevent common running injuries and achieve your running goals.
The cost of the clinic is $10. A portion of the proceeds benefit a local charity.
