Border Wars Half Distance Triathlon is back and at a new venue in beautiful Litchfield, Illinois on Lake Lou Yaeger! This spot has hosted the Litchfield Triathlou for 12 years, and now it will host a stand-alone half-distance triathlon on October 2, 2022. Participants can choose to race the triathlon by doing the 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, and 13.1-mile run, or they can choose to race the aqua bike which consists of a 1.2-mile swim followed by a 56-mile bike. Participants should expect wetsuit legal water racing a two-loop swim course along the beautiful Yaeger beach. The bike course is flat and fast overall racing through the county roads. The run is a 2 loop course running on rural county streets and alongside some of Litchfield’s residential areas. As always Litchfield is a perfect spot to tailgate and enjoy the day for family, friends, and competitors once done pouring it all out on the course.
