Lewis and Clark Adventure
September 15, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
The Lewis and Clark Adventure is a day trip that follows a portion of the path covered by Lewis and Clark as they began their journey west along the Missouri River, and passes thru one of the most pristine and scenic stretches of the Missouri River in our region. This trip begins at Blanchette Landing Park in St. Charles, Missouri River mile 27. There our expert guides will provide you with everything you need for the adventure and help you board one of our extraordinary voyageur canoes.
Remember, no paddling experience or special equipment is necessary, we’ve got you covered! This trip will pass thru an amazing natural back channel of the river where wildlife and unique flora abounds. After enjoying lunch on the sandbar of a river island, we’ll pass the spot where Lewis and Clark camped on the second night of their epic expedition, May 15th, 1804, and continue past a beautiful bluff lined bend. We’ll finish the trip at our private boat ramp where the Big Muddy shuttle will meet us and take us back to where we began. This trip is an excellent way to explore one of our regions most prized yet unexplored natural gems!
