Big River Pub Run (FREE)

Running is fun. Running with people is more fun. Enjoying post-run refreshments is possibly the most fun! Big River Running is all about fun and is excited to partner with local breweries and pubs to host free group runs where runners, walkers and beer lovers can come together to enjoy a little exercise, great food and drink and camaraderie.

Hoka One One will be joining us as our special guest, so be sure to arrive early to get your size so you can test outa pair of Hokas on the run! Our friends from Amphipod will also be there so you can check out the great hydration and storage products we carry. Athletico will also be on-site offering free injury advice and post-run stretching!
Route Details

The route is an out and back from UCBC in the Grove to the Forest Park Visitor Center for a total of 4.5 miles. Shorter mileage options are available.
From UCBC, go North on Taylor and then make a left on Chouteau.
Take the pedestrian bridge over I-64/Hwy 40 to Clayton Ave. and go left.
Once in Forest Park, cross Clayton Ave. and follow the paved running path that goes around Jefferson Lake. When you get to Steinberg Skating Rink, follow the gravel path.
If you turn around where the path meets Grand at approximately 1.5 miles, you’ll have a 3 mile route.
If you turn around where Union enters the park and meets up with Grand at approximately 1.75 miles, you’ll have a 3.5 mile route. If you continue to the Visitor’s Center and then turn around, you’ll run a total of 4.5 miles. Feel free to turn sooner or later depending on how many miles you want to run!
