The secret begins with training smart and safe. Join us to learn about the big picture of half and full marathon training with a clinic led by experienced Big River Personal Coaches and members of Big River Running’s knowledgeable staff. Our clinic will help you build the foundation for a successful training program. Big River can help you train smart – getting you to the start line with the confidence to reach your goals! This clinic is perfect for runners who are tackling the half marathon or marathon for the first time.

Topics discussed will include:

  • Fundamentals of a half and full marathon training plan
  • Pacing
  • Basic Injury Prevention
  • Motivation
  • Essential gear
  • Expert tips on how to make it to the big day healthy and ready to race!

You also get to participate in the Thursday Workout that night!
We’ll be doing a track workout designed to work on speed/pace that supports and benefits the endurance training for a half or full marathon. The workout is appropriate for runners of all paces and is a great way to get in a workout in a fun, non-intimidating environment.

Clinic is from 6 – 6:30 p.m.
Workout is from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

The cost of the clinic is $20.  A portion of the proceeds benefits local charities. Includes participation in the Thursday Workout on Aug. 3.
