DESCRIPTION:Molly’s Miles 5K\, 10K and Virtual Run is a mid-Missouri race that raises money to support the family members of police officers killed in the line of duty. All proceeds from the race will be provided to Missouri Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.). \nThe race is named after Officer Molly Suzanne Thomas Bowden who was mortally wounded while conducting a routine traffic stop on the night of January 10\, 2005 in Columbia\, Missouri. Molly passed away on February 10\, 2005 at the age of 26 years old. She had been on the Columbia Police force for over three years and was the first Columbia Police officer killed in the line of duty. \nThe slogan for this race is “In Honor of the Survivors\,” and focuses on the surviving families and affected co-workers of Missouri law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.

Originally held on the historic Eads Bridge we re-located the event to a longer bridge and a more rural bicycle course. The iconic Chain of Rocks Bridge and surrounding area is the perfect venue to ease into an active event season. The event starts and finishes at the foot of the Chain of Rocks Bridge on the Illinois side. Participants will run from Start Line to the Mississippi River and back\, followed by a flat\, fast out and back bike circuit\, returning to a final out and back run leg to the river and back with great views of the mighty Mississippi River. DESCRIPTION:Since 1987\, the St. Charles County Golden Games have been promoting healthy lifestyles for Seniors 50 years and older through fitness and sports. \nThe Golden Games encompass nearly 70 different events\, both athletic and non-athletic\, and take place throughout St. Charles County at local high schools\, colleges\, county parks\, the YMCA\, golf courses\, senior living facilities\, and specialty sports clubs. The Games are held each Spring\, in late April and early May. Golden Games contestants qualify to participate in the Missouri State Senior Games and several events qualify for the National Games. All participants receive a Golden Games T-shirt and the fee includes a complimentary invitation to the Annual Golden Games Banquet. A single fee allows registrants to participate in as many events as possible without a schedule conflict. \nCompetitions are designed for all age groups and abilities. Events are open competition and divided into age groups of 5-year increments; 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-74\, 75-79 and older. In the true Olympic Spirit\, Gold\, Silver and Bronze Medals are awarded for 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place. \nThe St. Charles Golden Games is a 501(C)(3) Organization organized entirely by a Volunteer Board of Directors. Registration fees are kept to a minimum to accommodate Seniors. The Games depend on the support of local sponsors to help maintain the integrity of the equipment and secure the use of quality facilities. Numerous volunteers contribute to the effective operation of the events during the week of the games.

SUMMARY:The Ozarks Mountain Challenge
DESCRIPTION:We have partnered with the Missouri State Parks (Sam A. Baker Park) to see who can hike 7\,980’ elevation (The height of Mt. Olympus) right here in the beautiful Ozark region in Missouri. Each participant will have twelve hours to hike nine times up Mudlick Mountain. This vertical ascent is equal to hiking Mount Olympus in the state of Washington. Why did we choose Mt. Olympus as a benchmark? Although in Greek mythology Olympus meant “mountain” or “gathering place of the gods”\, in modern times Olympus represents “a place or state of joy and happiness.” The total hiking distance is approximately 17 miles. Each hiker will be shuttled back down to the base after each successful ascent. The route is Mudlick Mountain Fire Tower Road (available on All Trails app)\, which is a chat road. This challenge is NOT a race. It is the external (physical) YOU versus the internal (mental) YOU. Other participants & race volunteers will be encouraging you along the way.

If the weather cooperates\, we are planning for new routes that integrate the recently upgraded Trestle Trail on the southeast corner of Lebanon. Plus\, our ride features the best rest stop treats around. Yes\, our Missouri friends might need to drive a little\, but the trip down Interstates 70 or 64 is about the same as traveling from downtown to West County. Plus\, the trip is worth it and we promise a ride to remember. After you ride\, there’s an all-you-can eat hot meal (pending COVID19 restrictions) with lots of variety\, including pizza\, salads\, soups\, hot plates\, sandwiches\, etc. served in Ames Dining Hall at McKendree University. \nWe’re continuing the Moe Metric Century and the full 100-mile route — the Roger Kramer Memorial Century named after the founder of Tour de Stooges. There’s a short 9 mile route\, too\, and four other intermediate routes ranging from 16 to 47 miles for your velocipedic pleasure — something for everyone\, and family-friendly\, too. SUMMARY:Greensfelder County Park Trail Build
DESCRIPTION:We will be constructing a new singletrack trail approximately 1 mile in length. It will connect the brand new Forby Road trailhead parking lot to the DeClue trail near the Arbors of Rockwood ridge line. This new trail will ascend about 200+ feet to reach the DeClue ridge. The trail will pass through cedar groves\, open meadows and old-growth fields. This trail will be unlike any existing trail at Greensfelder due to the open meadows and generally sustained climb/descent consisting primarily of dirt with a few short sections of rocky terrain.

DESCRIPTION:The Capital City Race is dedicated to Mental Health Awareness and is in memory of Jared Palmer\, who lost his life to mental illness in November 2021. There are multiple routes available\, including 5k\, 10k\, and 1/2 Marathon courses showcasing numerous landmarks around the Capital City. This event will start at the Jefferson City Capitol at 7:00 AM on May 11\, 2024. Come out and walk\, jog\, or sprint with us on May 11\, 2024. Join the fun and celebrate Mental Health Awareness! \nRegistration cost varies depending on your race selection. Registration includes one t-shirt\, bib\, and swag bag! Pre-packet pick-up will be held on May 10\, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 PM at The Linc\, 1299 Lafayette St\, Jefferson City\, MO 65101. Same day packet pick up and registration will start at 5:30 AM the day of the race. T-shirts will only be guaranteed for those who register BEFORE May 1\, 2023. \nJoin us after the race for some music & fun! At the start of the trip\, we’ll catch a glimpse of the famous Chain of Rocks Bridge\, part of the famed Route 66\, and the bridge that enabled travelers to cross the Mississippi. Our route takes us into the only non-navigable reach of the river to a pristine island where we’ll enjoy lunch on a sandbar and have the chance to spot wildlife and take a dip in the muddy waters of the Mississippi River. We’ll continue on into the port of St. Louis where we’ll see our setting quickly transition from natural to built. We’ll pass beneath five contemporary and famous historic bridges\, while learning about some notable historic landmarks\, and catching incredible views of some of St. Louis’s oldest riverfront buildings. The trip ends with an unbeatable\, from the river\, view of the Gateway Arch and lands us on the historic landing of downtown St. Louis.
