SUMMARY:The Berryman Adventure 2023
DESCRIPTION:Adventure races include mountain/gravel biking\, rowing\, orienteering\, and other disciplines to find control points along a course through forests\, waterways\, trails\, and rural roads. There is a time limit\, but winners are determined first by finding the most checkpoints. The course is not revealed until immediately before the race. Navigation is by map and compass – no GPS devices allowed! Racers supply their own mountain bike and personal gear\, but maps\, watercraft\, and paddles are supplied and included in the race fee. Click here for a deeper breakdown of the sport. If you have never adventure raced before but feel you’re strong in the disciplines\, the 6-hour event is for you! For a truly introductory experience\, try Berryman-Lite. \n

SUMMARY:Burning at the Bluff
DESCRIPTION:The epic trail of Council Bluff Lake is your battleground! With approx 13 miles of singletrack\, Council Bluff offers a rollercoaster of all that Missouri mountain biking has to offer. The trail follows the contour of a picturesque lake and offers no shortcuts or bail-out roads. Be prepared: hiking many miles with a mechanical or flat is never fun! As it is an endurance race\, each team will have a lap or two which may require a lighting system. All 12-hour race teams are required to have one set of bike lights and a secondary source of lighting (i.e.\, flashlight\, cat-eye\, Petzel). Lights will need to be with any rider heading out for a lap 1.5 hours (5:00) before official sunset (6:30) and every lap thereafter.

SUMMARY:Double Chubb Trail Runs
DESCRIPTION:The race is run on the popular Chubb trail. The 25k will do one out & back & the 50k will do two. The 8 Mile race is new in 2023 and is intended to welcome new trail runners. The 8-mile race will head out on the same course with the 25/50K but is an out-and-back. A limited number of 8 Mile spots will be available to preserve the same amount of 25/50K slots as in prior years. The trail itself varies from a gravel service road to a mostly dirt trail along the Meramec river\, to a mile-long series of climbs\, to finally a rolling trail that winds through the hills of the Meramec River. There are no stream crossings. If the Meramec River is well above flood stage then the race will be rerouted. There are two railroad crossings and extreme caution must be taken because the trains come through this area at a high rate of speed. Runners may see deer\, turkey\, and other wildlife throughout this trail run.
