DESCRIPTION:We are moving the Firecracker Race date back to where it all started\, close to Independence Day. The Firecracker Race will again be held on the Mississippi River on Saturday July 6\, 2024. Just as last year\, paddlers will race on a 15 mile downriver course from Grafton access to the Alton riverfront (see map below). The race will end at the Alton marina. After the race come to the Old Bakery Beer Company within walking distance or a short drive for a free meal on us. There we will have the award ceremony and raffle starting at 3:30. There will be a cash bar for drinks. Those that cannot attend the dinner and ceremony afterwards are offered a race t-shirt from us. Those that attend the dinner are offered a race t-shirt for an additional $15.

DESCRIPTION:Come out and run a beautiful trail on Historical Mining Property just south of Saint Louis. The Leadbelt course at St. Joe State Park is a unique trail that is open all year with little traffic on it and then prepped and buffed for a race weekend each July. You will run through a mix of beautiful Missouri hardwood forest\, Pines\, Creek Crossings\, Open Savanna and yes you run through the culvert. The Park has other amenities for you and the family to take advantage of while there. SUMMARY:Get Your Butt Kicked at Route 66
DESCRIPTION:This timed 6-hour race takes place in Route 66 State Park located just east of Eureka\, MO. \nThe course is a measured 2.425-mile loop through the wooded northwest corner of Route 66 State Park. The course is a wide path consisting of thin pavement\, chip n seal and some fine gravel. Although the loop is flat and fast\, the temperature in July must be considered an overriding factor by each runner. \nRace starts at 6 pm and ends at midnight. Darkness comes around 8:30 pm so runners will need some kind of running light for the second half of the race.

DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the City of Ballwin\, MSE Racing is excited to host the Ballwin Triathlon. The USAT sanctioned Ballwin Triathlon is a 300-yard pool swim\, 9-mile bike\, and 3.4-mile run. This race is very popular and fills up to capacity almost every year. Wave start times are available on a first come\, first serve basis so be sure to secure your spot early if a certain start time is important to you. \nIT’S BACK this year: the Double Triathlon. If you are looking for a greater challenge\, here’s your opportunity! Participants will complete the Ballwin Triathlon course and then head back to the pool to complete the course a second time beginning with one lap around North Pointe’s lazy river.

DESCRIPTION:Sprint #5 of the summer series. \nThere will be two sprints that every can participate in. \nThe first will be the traditional sprint format\, with a basic point to point course and an expected winning time between 20-25 minutes. \nThe second … well .. the second will be more interesting. You will need a partner and a way of communicating with each other. (mobile phone call with each other\, maybe bring headphones?\, or walkie-talkies?) As usual\, the second never really counts toward anything competitive – only for fun.
