DESCRIPTION:Molly’s Miles 5K\, 10K and Virtual Run is a mid-Missouri race that raises money to support the family members of police officers killed in the line of duty. All proceeds from the race will be provided to Missouri Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.). \nThe race is named after Officer Molly Suzanne Thomas Bowden who was mortally wounded while conducting a routine traffic stop on the night of January 10\, 2005 in Columbia\, Missouri. Molly passed away on February 10\, 2005 at the age of 26 years old. She had been on the Columbia Police force for over three years and was the first Columbia Police officer killed in the line of duty. \nThe slogan for this race is “In Honor of the Survivors\,” and focuses on the surviving families and affected co-workers of Missouri law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.

DESCRIPTION:This race will start at the Katy Trailhead on Spring and 2nd street\, Boonville\, Missouri. Half Marathon starts at 8am and the 5K starts at 9am. Proceeds support a $500 scholarship for 2 students from BHS who run the race. The race is an out and back loop on the MKT trail with supported water stops. The Katy Trail is a former rail road and now a state park which spans the state of Missouri. The surface is crushed Limestone and never more than 4% grade up or down! Join us for an inexpensive half marathon adventure and support a good cause\, now in its 7th year running. T-shirts\, medals\, 5-year age group awards and after event!

SUMMARY:The Chain of Rocks Bridge Duathlon
DESCRIPTION:The Chain of Rocks Bridge has become the permanent home of our Spring Duathlon. Originally held on the historic Eads Bridge we re-located the event to a longer bridge and a more rural bicycle course. The iconic Chain of Rocks Bridge and surrounding area is the perfect venue to ease into an active event season. The event starts and finishes at the foot of the Chain of Rocks Bridge on the Illinois side. Participants will run from Start Line to the Mississippi River and back\, followed by a flat\, fast out and back bike circuit\, returning to a final out and back run leg to the river and back with great views of the mighty Mississippi River. Awesome\, right?!

DESCRIPTION:The swim will be in a 25-yard lap lane in our Natatorium. Once you have completed the swim you will transition to our spin room where the bike portion will take place. After the bike is completed you will make your way to the cardio room to run on a treadmill. Rec-Plex staff will keep track of your timing. We have 2 lengths to choose from\, short course and long course.

SUMMARY:The St. Charles Golden State Games Cycling Events
DESCRIPTION:Since 1987\, the St. Charles County Golden Games have been promoting healthy lifestyles for Seniors 50 years and older through fitness and sports. \nThe Golden Games encompass nearly 70 different events\, both athletic and non-athletic\, and take place throughout St. Charles County at local high schools\, colleges\, county parks\, the YMCA\, golf courses\, senior living facilities\, and specialty sports clubs. The Games are held each Spring\, in late April and early May. Golden Games contestants qualify to participate in the Missouri State Senior Games and several events qualify for the National Games. All participants receive a Golden Games T-shirt and the fee includes a complimentary invitation to the Annual Golden Games Banquet. A single fee allows registrants to participate in as many events as possible without a schedule conflict. \nCompetitions are designed for all age groups and abilities. Events are open competition and divided into age groups of 5-year increments; 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-74\, 75-79 and older. In the true Olympic Spirit\, Gold\, Silver and Bronze Medals are awarded for 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place. \nThe St. Charles Golden Games is a 501(C)(3) Organization organized entirely by a Volunteer Board of Directors. Registration fees are kept to a minimum to accommodate Seniors. The Games depend on the support of local sponsors to help maintain the integrity of the equipment and secure the use of quality facilities. Numerous volunteers contribute to the effective operation of the events during the week of the games.
