DESCRIPTION:As you are out and about in early April\, you may notice green and red mesh bags along the roadways\, in the parks\, and along the rivers and streams in St Charles County. These will be gathered by the hundreds of families\, scout and church groups\, and other volunteers who scour the county to clean up trash. Every bit of trash picked up by these superheroes is a bit of trash that doesn’t make its way into our rivers and streams. The trash in our waterways is more than just unsightly. It pollutes our drinking water and destroys the natural habitat of plants and animals that rely on clean\, fresh water just like we do.
