DESCRIPTION:Border Wars Half Distance Triathlon is set for October 1\, 2023 in beautiful Litchfield\, Illinois on Lake Lou Yaeger! Participants can choose to race the triathlon doing the 1.2 mile swim\, 56 mile bike\, and 13.1 mile run\, or they can choose to race the aqua bike which consists of a 1.2 mile swim followed by a 56 mile bike. Participants should expect wetsuit legal water racing a two loop swim course along the beautiful Yaeger beach. The bike course is flat and fast overall racing through the county roads. The run is a 2 loop course running on rural county streets and along side some of Litchfield residential areas. As always Litchfield is a perfect spot to tailgate and enjoy the day for family\, friends\, and competitors once done pouring it all out on the course.

The course is well supported with volunteers to keep you safe as you wind around\, up and down paved roads\, past horse farms\, tree-filled woods and beautiful homes. You will loop back to the Osage Center to find a cheering crowd and lots of good food\, water\, Gatorade and locally brewed beer. This race is in its 43rd year\, and we couldn’t be happier to boast that we even ran the year of “C”. Water stops are available every 2 miles in the beginning\, then every mile from mile 8 on. The Water Stops are manned by some really happy people\, ready to encourage you on your journey. We offer an early start for those who feel they may take longer than 3 hours to complete the course.

Finishing in daylight is a right of passage for any cross-country OED 100 mile endurance racer.

DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the City of Ballwin\, MSE Racing is excited to host the fun USAT-sanctioned 16th annual Ballwin Kid’s Triathlon scheduled for Sunday\, September 17th\, 2023. The Ballwin’s Kid’s Triathlon is the chance for our youngest athletes to get to experience a triathlon in this scaled-down race. All participants will receive a swim cap\, race t-shirt & post-race snacks with awards given to the top 3 males and females in each age division. Youth Jr. Age 6-9 – 25 yard pool swim\, 1-mile bike\, and a 1/2 mile run\, Youth Sr. Age 10-13 – 75 yard pool swim\, 2-mile bike and a 1-mile run (Note – race age is the child’s age at the end of the year (12/31/23))
