SUMMARY:Get Your Butt Kicked at Route 66
DESCRIPTION:This timed race with 3-hour (new this year!) and 6-hour options takes place in Route 66 State Park located just east of Eureka\, MO. The course is a measured 2.425 mile loop through the wooded northwest corner of Route 66 State Park. The course is a wide path consisting of thin pavement\, chip n seal and some fine gravel. Although the loop is fairly flat and fast\, the temperature in July must be considered an overriding factor by each runner. This is a great course for both those that are new to ultra running as well as experienced runners looking for a fast course. \nStart/finish area is at the Forest Shelter which has adequate parking around it. The Forest Shelter is the main aid station and will have Ultra-Food. \n6-hour race starts at 6 pm and ends at midnight. 3-hour race starts at 7:30 pm and ends at 10:30 pm. Darkness comes around 8:30 pm so runners will need some kind of running light for the second half of the race. \nThis race is brought to you by the Saint Louis Ultrarunners Group\n(SLUG members receive a $10 discount on race registration. Click here for more details.)

SUMMARY:Summer Dirt Crits - Race 6
DESCRIPTION:The STL Dirt Crits have provided the greater St Louis Area with Short Track (often known as XCC) style racing for almost 20 years. These races are mass start\, and riders complete a high number of laps on a very short\, less technical loop\, with each race lasting only 30-45 minutes. The shorter nature of these races bring high speed and high intensity\, but don’t be scared – the “C” & “B” races are where Beginner to Intermediate riders will still have a blast. These Races are truly perfect for spectators\, so bring your friends and family to watch as they will get to see you pass every 5-10 minutes.

SUMMARY:Summer Dirt Crits - Race 7

SUMMARY:World Naked Bike Ride
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating bicycle power and the beauty of people World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is an international clothing-optional people powered event that highlights the vulnerability of cyclists everywhere\, decries society’s dependence on pollution-based transport and promotes positive body image. It’s also just a lot of fun! \nThe event is bare-as-you-dare; anything from body paint to underwear to fanciful costumes are encouraged. Due to legal restrictions in St. Louis\, full frontal nudity is at your own risk\, but many participants do go all out. Large-scale body painting is typically available pre-ride\, and personal expression is encouraged. \nSt. Louis’s past events drew over 2000 riders\, and covered over ten miles of high visibility city areas.\nBlessed by decent summer weather in a great cycling city\, the event has grown into a fantastic rolling celebration\, complete with a massive afterparty. Participants often describe it as a transcendent group experience\, personally transforming\, and beyond superlative.
