DESCRIPTION:We will continue our construction of a new singletrack trail approximately 1 mile in length. It will connect the brand new Forby Road trailhead parking lot to the DeClue trail near the Arbors of Rockwood ridge line. This new trail will ascend about 200+ feet to reach the DeClue ridge. The trail will pass through cedar groves\, open meadows and old-growth fields. This trail will be unlike any existing trail at Greensfelder due to the open meadows and generally sustained climb/descent consisting primarily of dirt with a few short sections of rocky terrain.

DESCRIPTION:This will be the 35th year of the Pere Marquette Endurance Trail Run. 7.8 miles of hills and incredible scenery through the park in December. Packet pickup and pre-race coffee are available in the beautiful lodge with a roaring fire. Post-race festivities and awards are also in the lodge. \nRRCA State Championship Open Race – This year race winners will be crowned STATE CHAMPIONS and receive a cool medal! \nThe race is a go regardless of rain\, sleet\, snow\, ice\, mud or muck. It’s a trail race not a day at the beach. HOWEVER…. Should the Park Service close Pere Marquette State Park due to severe inclement weather or other unforeseen causes\, Metro Tri Club will cancel the event and offer no refunds or deferments. \nPacket Pickup: Race day starts at 7:30 AM in the Pere Marquette State Park Lodge \nRace Awards: Male and Female Overall\, Masters (40+)\, Top 3 Clydesdale (M) and Athena (F)\, and Top 3 age groups in 5-year increments from 16 to the oldest person to finish
