DESCRIPTION:The Chain of Rocks Bridge has become the permanent home of our Spring Duathlon. Originally held on the historic Eads Bridge we re-located the event to a longer bridge and a more rural bicycle course. The iconic Chain of Rocks Bridge and surrounding area is the perfect venue to ease into an active event season. The event starts and finishes at the foot of the Chain of Rocks Bridge on the Illinois side. Participants will run from Start Line to the Mississippi River and back\, followed by a flat\, fast out and back bike circuit\, returning to a final out and back run leg to the river and back with great views of the mighty Mississippi River. Awesome\, right?!

Monday’s events went off without a hitch\, and the weather held out for us for Tuesday’s events. Congratulations to all our winners and participants. Isolated rain showers are in store for the St. Charles County area beginning Tuesday\, April 29th\, and lasting through Thursday\, May 1st. However\, we have made the call to proceed with all the Games for Wednesday. Show up to the site\, and the Event Coordinators will provide any instructions on the events. SUMMARY:Ozark Mountain Challenge
DESCRIPTION:We have partnered with the Missouri State Parks (Sam A. Baker Park)\, along with 2025 Platinum Sponsor Missouri Highlands Healthcare\, to see who can hike 7\,980’ elevation (The height of Mt. Olympus) right here in the beautiful Ozark region in Missouri. Each participant will have twelve hours to hike nine times up Mudlick Mountain. This vertical ascent is equal to hiking Mount Olympus in the state of Washington. Why did we choose Mt. Olympus as a benchmark? Although in Greek mythology Olympus meant “mountain” or “gathering place of the gods”\, in modern times Olympus represents “a place or state of joy and happiness.” The total hiking distance is approximately 17 miles. Each hiker will be shuttled back down to the base after each successful ascent. The route is Mudlick Mountain Fire Tower Road (available on All Trails app)\, which is a chat road. This challenge is NOT a race. It is the external (physical) YOU versus the internal (mental) YOU. Other participants & race volunteers will be encouraging you along the way.

DESCRIPTION:TriFAHL is one of the area’s only triathlons. This is a short distance triathlon for men and women of all athletic abilities that provides the opportunity to “Tri for a Healthy Life” in a low-key and supportive environment. Since we are a smaller race\, you don’t have to wake up super early to try to find parking and walk a long distance to the race venue or wait in long lines to start the race. Plus you will be finished and on the road by 11am. First-timers and experienced racers are all welcome! You can race as an individual or a relay team. \n  \nThe event begins with a 150 Yard swim at the Truman State University Natatorium\, followed by a 9 mile bike ride that is two loops on the city streets in Kirksville and ends with a 2.4 mile run on mostly sidewalks through and around the edge of campus. \n  \nRegister BY April 6th-$45 (will receive shirt at race). You better not miss the 28th annual Tour de Stooges on Saturday\, May 3\, 2025\, in Lebanon\, Illinois (See the About the Ride page for a map of Lebanon). Miss it\, and I’ll moiderize youse! \nThe rolling countryside has great scenery\, picturesque farms\, fields of wildflowers on lightly traveled country lanes. If the weather cooperates\, we are planning for new routes that integrate the recently upgraded Trestle Trail on the southeast corner of Lebanon. Plus\, our ride features the best rest stop treats around. Yes\, our Missouri friends might need to drive a little\, but the trip down Interstates 70 or 64 is about the same as traveling from downtown to West County. Plus\, the trip is worth it and we promise a ride to remember. After you ride\, there’s an all-you-can eat hot meal with lots of variety\, including pizza\, salads\, soups\, hot plates\, sandwiches\, etc. served in Ames Dining Hall at McKendree University. \nWe’re continuing the Moe Metric Century and the full 100-mile route – the Roger Kramer Memorial Century named after the founder of Tour de Stooges. There’s a short 9 mile route\, too\, and four other intermediate routes ranging from 16 to 47 miles for your velocipedic pleasure – something for everyone\, and family-friendly\, too. SUMMARY:St. Charles County Golden Games - Track and Field
DESCRIPTION:The Games have begun! On Saturday\, we closed out this year’s Mens and Womens Volleyball Tournaments\, Specialty Events at the Woodland Sports Complex\, Table Tennis\, and Basketball Skills Competitions. Monday’s events went off without a hitch\, and the weather held out for us for most of Tuesday’s events (unfortunately\, rain did delay the Golf Tournament\, and stronger storms about an hour after we commenced golfing caused us to cancel the tournament). Rain on Wednesday did delay Shuffle-Board\, but continued after the rains passed. Congratulations to all our winners and participants. Isolated and scattered rain showers are still in the forecast through Friday\, May 2nd. However\, the expected rainfalls are expected to be low\, and we project that they will have minimal impact for the remainder of this year’s Games. Consequently\, we have made the call to proceed with all the Games for Thursday. Show up to the site\, and the Event Coordinators will provide any instructions on the events. Weather call for Friday’s Games will be made by noon on Thursday. Good luck!
