SUMMARY:Tour de Stooges
DESCRIPTION:Online registration for the 28th Annual Tour de Stooges opens with the new year at midnight\, January 1\, 2025.\nWhat? You’re looking for beautiful scenery\, great cookies\, the best after-ride meal\, and all the vidiot fun a stooge could want? Well\, then don’t be a knucklehead or a victim of soicumstance. You better not miss the 28th annual Tour de Stooges on Saturday\, May 3\, 2025\, in Lebanon\, Illinois (See the About the Ride page for a map of Lebanon). Miss it\, and I’ll moiderize youse! \nThe rolling countryside has great scenery\, picturesque farms\, fields of wildflowers on lightly traveled country lanes. If the weather cooperates\, we are planning for new routes that integrate the recently upgraded Trestle Trail on the southeast corner of Lebanon. Plus\, our ride features the best rest stop treats around. Yes\, our Missouri friends might need to drive a little\, but the trip down Interstates 70 or 64 is about the same as traveling from downtown to West County. Plus\, the trip is worth it and we promise a ride to remember. After you ride\, there’s an all-you-can eat hot meal with lots of variety\, including pizza\, salads\, soups\, hot plates\, sandwiches\, etc. served in Ames Dining Hall at McKendree University. \nWe’re continuing the Moe Metric Century and the full 100-mile route – the Roger Kramer Memorial Century named after the founder of Tour de Stooges. There’s a short 9 mile route\, too\, and four other intermediate routes ranging from 16 to 47 miles for your velocipedic pleasure – something for everyone\, and family-friendly\, too. After the ride\, we spread out\, eat and watch Three Stooges shorts until the cows come home. Nyuk\, nyuk\, nyuk.?

SUMMARY:St. Charles County Golden Games - Track and Field
DESCRIPTION:The Games have begun! On Saturday\, we closed out this year’s Mens and Womens Volleyball Tournaments\, Specialty Events at the Woodland Sports Complex\, Table Tennis\, and Basketball Skills Competitions. Monday’s events went off without a hitch\, and the weather held out for us for most of Tuesday’s events (unfortunately\, rain did delay the Golf Tournament\, and stronger storms about an hour after we commenced golfing caused us to cancel the tournament). Rain on Wednesday did delay Shuffle-Board\, but continued after the rains passed. Congratulations to all our winners and participants. Isolated and scattered rain showers are still in the forecast through Friday\, May 2nd. However\, the expected rainfalls are expected to be low\, and we project that they will have minimal impact for the remainder of this year’s Games. Consequently\, we have made the call to proceed with all the Games for Thursday. Show up to the site\, and the Event Coordinators will provide any instructions on the events. Weather call for Friday’s Games will be made by noon on Thursday. Good luck!

SUMMARY:Greensfelder Challenge
DESCRIPTION:On May 10\, 2025\, UFD and GORC host the Greensfelder Challenge. This is GORC’s big fundraiser of the year to keep the club in the black and the trail building days moving forward. As always\, bring your wallet AND we can process credit cards now. \nHow about the trail\, you ask? It’s a challenging and semi-technical course that includes a lot of climbing and descending. It is also our biggest single fundraising event and helps keep us operating in the black year after year. GORC volunteers will be manning the super-awesome BBQ pit and selling GORC merchandise\, course marshaling and helping out wherever needed. UFD will be handling the race registration\, check-in\, operations and scoring. \nGreensfelder is one of Missouri’s hidden treasure. Tucked in the hills in West St. Louis County\, Greensfelder offers something for all levels. It is some of the most fun and challenging singletrack in the region. GORC has continued to improve on this excllence by donating incredible volunteer hours to this trail as well as many others in the area. It is time to give back! DRJ Racing has teamed up with GORC and we are donating 100% of the profits to show our appreciation. So come join us in racing some of the sweetest single track around and feel good about doing so knowing your entry fees will be going to a great organization!
