SUMMARY:Vino Fondo Gran Fondo & Grindo Fondo
DESCRIPTION:About The Vino Fondo- Big Shark Bicycle Company and Sugar Creek Winery bring the European cycling tradition of the Gran Fondo cycling experience to Missouri’s hilliest wine country. A traditional pairing of challenging riding and a tour of some of Missouri’s best vineyards. Experience the same roads and towns visited by the internationally acclaimed Tour of Missouri Professional Cycling Race as well as some of the toughest Gravel Roads around. RETURNING FOR 2025: Two gravel/road “Groad” Options- The Mondo and Midi Grindo Fondos. \nThe Vino Fondo and Grindo Fondo are fully supported\, timed rides. Although not a race\, all participants will receive two measures of their achievement: overall ride time AND their climbing time over the penultimate beast\, the Schluersburg (Road) or Callaway Fork (Gravel). There are three road and two ‘groad’ distance options\, each tuned to maximize scenery and include as many of the regions challenging “topographic features” as we can find. This is a challenging and rewarding ride to complete. \nAbout Gran Fondo’s- Also called Cyclosportif rides\, Gran Fondo’s are challenging rides that combine the best elements of epic recreational rides\, some of the characteristics of a race\, and the visual experiences of the touring cyclist. The Gran Fondo experience is a true melting pot for cyclists of all abilities- with one goal\, the satisfaction of achievement.

SUMMARY:Red Cedar Half Marathon & 38K
DESCRIPTION:Nestled in the Shawnee National Forest\, Giant City State Park is a premier destination for hiking\, lodging\, and camping in southern Illinois. We are now proud to offer a premier trail ½ marathon majorly utilizing the Red Cedar Trail.  NEW FOR 2025:  A second loop has been added to bring twice the distance\, and twice the fun!  As an incentive to our teen and cross country runners\, they will be capped at a $40 entry.  We want to encourage our youth to run the trails in southern Illinois.  Also\, the t-shirt is now an add-on instead of an automatic upcharge for those that wish to forgo a race shirt.  (If you change your mind\, there should be some extra at packet pick-up.  First come\, first served.) \nThe course will consist of mostly single track\, but will have some gravel road connectors\, horse trails\, fields\, and less than a mile of paved road connectors. The trail varies from very technical to runnable in sections\, boasting over 1500 feet of elevation gain (one loop).  Also\, expect the possibility of getting your feet wet in several creek crossings\, rain dependent! \nThe 2025 course starts at pavilion 5.  Packet pickup will be at 6-6:45 am the day of the event.  Early packet pickup will be 5-6 pm at Pavilion 5 (also the start/finish).  The course mostly utilizes the Red Cedar Trail sometimes intersecting with the River to River Trail and some surrounding horse trails. The course will be well-marked with ribbons and arrows. All intersections will have directional signs and confidence markers. Be aware that this is also an open course. You may encounter casual hikers and/or horseback riders. SUMMARY:Pedaler’s Jamboree
DESCRIPTION:In order to keep the Pedaler’s Jamboree the best experience possible\, we have decided to decrease the number of participants that attend the event. We know that the trail has been getting more crowded in the last couple rides and we want to make sure that the trail isn’t over capacity and that riders are safe along their Jamboree adventures. In the past we have had a maximum of 2\,500 rider tickets available. In 2024 there were a combined 2\,200 riders on the trail (weekend riders and day rider passes). The 2025 ride will have a maximum cap of 2000 riders. There will be 1\,750 weekend rider tickets available and 250 trailside pass tickets available. DUE TO THE DECREASE IN AVAILABLE TICKETS WE ARE ESTIMATING THAT THE EVENT MAY SELL OUT EARLY. IF THIS IS THE CASE\, THERE WILL NOT BE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE EVENT. We recommend that you reserve your tickets in advance to guarantee your spot.

SUMMARY:Tour de Tunnel
DESCRIPTION:Bike the wonderful Tunnel Hill State Trail starting in Vienna\, Illinois (Routes: 10 miles\, 20 miles\, and 40 miles). See amazing sights\, old railroad trestles\, and even a 500+ foot train tunnel you can ride through on the 20 and 40-mile routes. This ride is presented by Revive Vienna. \nThe ride will start at 9:00 AM. Try to arrive an hour early to sign the waiver and get your t-shirt. We will let the 40-mile group start first\, then after a few minutes the 20-mile group will start\, and then after them\, the 10-mile group will start. \nThe trail has two-way traffic – make sure you ride in a straight line to let others pass coming from the opposite direction. This is a ride\, not a race. This is not a timed event. \nThe ride is an out-and-back event. For each mileage-based ride\, we will have signs telling you where to turn around. There will be two SAG stops: one for the 20-mile rides and another for the 40-mile rides. \nPlease exercise caution at intersections where the road crosses the trail\, as vehicles may be passing over it. \nPlease wear a helmet and bring plenty of drinking water.
