SUMMARY:The Shippey Endurance Runs
DESCRIPTION:*NEW* in 2027!!\nWe are excited to introduce two new distances to the Shippey in 2027. We will be hosting a 50K and a 25K!\nThe 50K will be Saturday with an 11 hour cutoff 8a-7p and the 25K will be Sunday with a 7 hour cutoff 9a-4p. \nThese distances will encompass 3 legs of 5.3mi\, 4.65mi & 5.5 mi of which two will be run the exact same as the current distances with the 5.5 mile leg being a combo of the outer portions of the smaller legs and without the overlapping in/out the other legs feature. These options will feature all Beaumont and Shippey offer with the new intro and buildup distance options! \nEvent Description\nThis is STL’s Original 100-mile trail ultra!! Check out our comprehensive WEBSITE!\n——->> We are CUPLESS and a Trail Sister Approved Event <<——- >> Ladies use code: TRAILSISTER10 for 10% off. \nNestled quietly in the rolling wooded hills just outside of Greater St. Louis lies the wonders of the Beaumont Scout Reservation. Here we invite you to partake in a first-hand experience of these “rolling” hills\, where\, under normal circumstances the general public is not allowed to run the tough and beautiful trail systems within. \nThe Shippey Endurance Runs\, rightly named from the trail color system used by the Scouts\, after Merle Shippey a well-respected cog in the scouting community. The Shippey takes you through all aspects of this magnificent wonder by creating an extremely runner\, crew and aide friendly race. \nNo need to chase runners over miles of back roads. Camp indoors 15 yds from the Start-Finish line and the ease of seeing your runner or your crew every 3-5.3 miles The Shippey is minutes from amenities\, allowing runners and their crews the ease of re-supply and convenience nearby!! \nCome prepared for cold temps but also know that it could be 70 degrees. Weather in St. Louis can flip on a dime!\nSo\, if you want to run on an amazing trail system that will only be open to the public during this event….well\, come run with us at The Shippey Endurance Runs! \nP.S. the Boy Scout’s didn’t believe in switchbacks when they built these trails! You have been properly warned!! \nCheck us out on Facebook and Instagram \nCourse Details\nThe course switches directions each year running clockwise on odd years\, counterclockwise on even years. \n+ 2 indoor aid stations\, you will hit multiple times. The course varies from the others offering steep climbs\, ridgeline running\, long and short steep descents as well as creek bottoms\, pine floor\, and jeep roads with approx. 75% single/double track\, 25% jeep roads. \nDistance and Elevations are approximates:\n+ 25K(15.5mi) w/ 2\,300′ ascent/descent\n+ 20.15mi w/ 3\,000′ ascent/descent\n+ 50K(31mi) 4\,600′ ascent/descent\n+ 40.7mi is 6\,000′ ascent/descent\n+ 100k(61mi) w/ 9\,000′ ascent/descent\n+ 101.7mi w/ 15\,000′ ascent/descent \nAdded course details\, maps & GPX can be found COURSE DETAILS! \n—>> On course hydration TBD.\n—>> Additionally\, we have Long Run Coffee\, check them out HERE and use code SHIPPEY for 20% off orders \nPARKING: As we grow we ask folks to carpool as much as possible\, especially as crew/pacer/spectators.
