PLEASE NOTE: DARK 2 DAWN IS GOING CUP-FREE IN 2016, which means there won’t be any paper cups at aid stations, and there won’t be any paper or plastic cups at our finish-lines. We won’t be making any exceptions to this rule, so if you don’t bring your own drinking receptacle come race-weekend, you’ll want to pre-purchase a collapsible cup and if you don’t already have a reusable soft flask to carry with you on the course (for soda & electrolyte drink, etc.), we will have the collapsible cups for purchase when you check in for the race and/or at packet pickup for $5 (quantities limited at check-in). Please help us keep our races eco-friendly, minimize the trash in the landfills and our trails clean. Together we can make a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Race registration fees are not refundable under any circumstance, race registrations are not transferable to a future years event. We will allow bib transfers until May 14, 2017 IF you can find yourself a replacement and contact us with all details prior to the transfer deadline.
**This race has a Rain Out Date in the event we need the reschedule this race due to unforeseen weather. The Rain Out Date will be June 25th, 2017.

The Dark 2 Dawn 10k and 6 Hrs timed ultra are simultaneous trail races that will be held on the scenic Indian Camp Creek Park. Each race takes place on an approx. 6 mile-ish loop route featuring a combination of open-field crossings and wooded singletrack, consisting mainly of dirt with a bit of rock mixed in. The terrain is flat to rolling hills.
** The Dark 2 Dawn 10K is one loops and 6 Hrs timed option challenges you to knock down as many loops as you have in you in the given time frame.
** Please be aware that this is a trail race and the mileage for the loop/course is approximate you may end up running a little over than the suggested 10K per loop.

START TIME & TIME LIMIT:
The start time for both the 10K and 6 Hrs timed ultra distance options is 12:00 AM on Sunday, June 11th 2017.
PLEASE NOTE: Check in begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Pick up your race packet, pitch a tent and enjoy live music from 9 to 11 p.m.
CUT OFF TIMES: 10K there is none. 6 Hrs timed ultra participants MUST start their final loop by 4:30 AM. Race runs from 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM!
There will be 1 Aid Stations at the start/finish that will be supplied with water, electrolyte drinks, gels, snacks, first aid, and enthusiastic volunteers! Restrooms will be available at the start/finish.
We will also have 1 unmanned water drop only along the course approx. 3 miles on the loop.
Everyone must run with a handheld or hydration vest.
Included in your registration fees:
– Overnight Camping.
– Race Photo’s by Mile 90 Photography
– Each registered runner will receive a custom short sleeve T-Shirt that will be gender specific.
– Post Race Breakfast will be served Sun morning!
AWARDS: Awards will be given for the first overall male and female finisher for the 10K distance and for top three male and female finishers based on number of loops finished and time in which they were completed for the 6 hrs timed ultra.
All finishers will receive a custom medal and sock!
Continental Breakfast will be served post race once all participants are finished with the race!
FINISH-LINE BRACELETS (for non-runners & non-volunteers): Anyone eating or drinking needs to have a finish-line bracelet on the day they’re otherwise running/volunteering. We will have finish-line bracelets for sale at the merch table on race-day ($5 – CASH ONLY) if you didn’t already pre-purchase them via UltraSignup for $5. If you aren’t a registered runner or volunteer, pre-purchasing a bracelet online helps us better plan when we’re purchasing items for the finish-line breakfast. It helps cover our extra food and drink costs for spectators, and in turn helps us keep race costs down.
It also helps ensure that we have food and drinks available for the last finishers and last volunteers back to the finish line.
